Annuities
Annuities return income to you (and/or another designated person) for life or for a specified number of years, after which the remaining assets are used to benefit the American Pain Foundation. You can make a planned gift to the America Pain Foundation and receive an income for life through the establishment of a charitable gift annuity or charitable trust that names APF as a beneficiary. Your attorney can advise you of the various types of charitable trusts and the estate tax benefits of each, and assist you in setting up a planned gift that is tailored to your personal needs.
Benefits to the donor may include:
- Increased income
- A valuable retirement planning option
- Protecting other family members
- Help with an asset that might otherwise incur large capital gains
- A federal income tax deduction
- Savings on future estate taxes

We recommend that you consult with your attorney or tax advisor for the various tax benefits and restrictions that may apply to your specific situation. We are available to help you answer general questions or help arrange a planned gift to the American Pain Foundation. APF’s future work to eliminate the undertreatment of pain and pain-related suffering depends on the partnerships we form today. Thank you!
