American Pain Foundation's Military/Veteran's Initiative

APF began the Military/Veterans Pain Initiative in 2004 in response to communications that we received from veterans suffering with pain from prior wars, and because of the growing number of veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan who were living with persisten pain.  APF's initiative works to improve pain care on both a national level through legislation and policy, and an individual level through education and support.  In 2008, APF successfully led the fight to pass the Military and Veterans Pain Care Acts into law.  These laws include critical provisions for pain care policy improvements from the battlefield to the Veterans Administration and beyond.  Please join us in our efforts to improve pain care for members of the military and veterans.

In Their Boots

The "In Their Boots" documentary series has started a new project called Operation In Their Boots which is a film-making fellowship for OIF/OEF service members or veterans to make a film in their own words. All details and the application are available on their website.
