PainAid Online Support Community

PainAid is a thriving online community where people with pain, caregivers and loved ones share information, support and hope. Peer moderators and health care professionals provide information, support, and self-advocacy ideas. You must register for both a chat login and a discussion board login, although you can use the same username and password for both registrations, if they are available.

PainAid Chat Rooms

PainAid offers scheduled real-time chats on a range of issues, moderated by PainAid staff and volunteer moderators. Special topic chats occur throughout the year and chat transcripts are posted on the website. Please check the schedule for a list of current chats. Please note: Our chat rooms are always available, but you may be the only member if you log in when there is no scheduled chat.

IMPORTANT: Are you a new or returning member? Please go to the Chat Intro Page for detailed information about registering to become a member, logging in to future chats and retrieving forgotten passwords.

PainAid Discussion Boards

PainAid has more than 100 message boards where people discuss issues ranging from diagnosis and treatment to personal and family issues, from financial issues related to pain to medications and more. Please join the discussion by posting a new message or responding to another post. Discussion boards are available 24 hours a day, moderated regularly and are an effective way for people with pain to interact with each other. Ask The Experts boards are moderated by licensed health care professionals and the Military/Veterans Boards provide an online community especially for people in the military, veterans and their caregivers. International Boards are available for our international members and special discussions are available for people affected by hemophilia, fibromyalgia and cancer.

Please visit the PainAid Discussion Boards to register as a new member or log in as a returning member.

Share Your Story

Join others in this momentous call for improved pain care – add YOUR voice, tell YOUR story. This is an opportunity for you to tell your personal story, share the difficulties you or a loved one may have faced when seeking pain treatment, or share the effect that appropriate treatment has meant in your life and provide a message of hope for those seeking relief. Some of you may be health care providers who would like to share the challenges you face in providing appropriate pain care for your patients. Your voices of struggle, hope and inspiration illustrate the range of problems with pain management in America and inspire others to overcome the barriers that they face in their pain journey.
